What this season is teaching me
Share
A quiet reflection on the lessons in my journey..
Some of the most defining seasons of my life didn’t look like success.
They looked like quiet tears, silent prayers, and daily courage just to show up.
God has been reshaping me—not loudly, but deeply.
Not with instant breakthroughs, but through slow, refining fire.
📖 “I will lead her into the wilderness and speak tenderly to her.”
— Hosea 2:14
🌿 In these hidden places, where comfort is absent and clarity delayed, God speaks softly but powerfully.
Here are the truths I’ve come to hold:
1. Think before you commit—because not everything is your assignment.
Some choices carry long-term weight. If it involves your money, time, or energy—don’t rush. Think. Pray. Sit with it.
“The prudent give thought to their steps.” — Proverbs 14:15
2. Pay attention to tension. Peace doesn’t compete with pressure.
When something feels off, don’t dismiss it. That pause in your spirit might be God guarding you.
“You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace.” — Isaiah 55:12
3. Problems won’t define you, but how you respond will.
You can’t control every storm, but you can choose whether to anchor in fear or in faith.
“Consider it pure joy… whenever you face trials… because the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” — James 1:2–3
4. You’re not here to win approval—you’re here to walk in obedience.
You might be misunderstood. That’s okay. You’re not called to be impressive. You’re called to be faithful.
“Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God?” — Galatians 1:10
5. Don’t wait for big things to be grateful. Treasure the little enoughs.
The ability to breathe, eat, laugh, cry, and continue—these are not small. They are sacred.
“Give us this day our daily bread.” — Matthew 6:11
6. If you want to help—do it now, with what you have.
You don’t need to wait for excess to be generous. The miracle often starts with just five loaves and two fish.
“She did what she could.” — Mark 14:8
7. Don’t wait for joy to arrive—choose it in the middle of the storm.
One day, you’ll look back and say, “That season made me. That was where I met God.”
“Though the fig tree does not bud… yet I will rejoice in the Lord.” — Habakkuk 3:17–18
Maybe you’re walking through your own wilderness. Maybe the path is hard and the burden is real.
But friend—this isn’t punishment.
This is preparation.
“He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” — Job 23:10
🙏 A Prayer to Carry:
Lord, I may not see the full picture yet, but I choose to walk in trust.
Refine me in the quiet.
Steady me in the waiting.
Use what little I have and multiply it for something greater than me.
Amen.
